Selective Androgen Receptor Modulators or SARMs are said to be the safer versions of steroids. But no matter what they say about the safety of these substances, there are still many individuals who remain skeptical that SARMS are harmless and that they have no side effects on the human body. With the countless kinds of SARMs being developed until this day, to say that all SARMs are safe may not be an objective generalization. And yes, SARMs are still categorized as drugs that are “under research.” That makes it unrealistic to judge that all SARMs as safe.
One type of selective androgen receptor stimulator that has been proven safe is testolone or RAD140. It was developed to treat osteoporosis but has been seen as a viable treatment for breast cancer. Like all other SARMs, testolone is also a potent drug for increasing lean muscle mass, enhancing muscle strength and reducing fats.
All the safety features of testolone separate it from the other SARMs, which include the following.
Does Not Affect the Prostate
The use of anabolic steroids causes enlargement of the prostate glands, reduced urine flow, and alteration of urinal patterns. When tested on rats and mice, testolone have no such harmful effects on the prostate glands of these mammals.
This phenomenon may be true because testolone only binds with bone and muscle tissue and not with tissues in the prostate glands.
Does Not Raise Blood Pressure
Steroids contain prednisone that causes fluid retention in the body. With elevated fluid being circulated, blood pressure increases. Testolone does not contain prednisone. Instead, it builds real muscle mass rather than retain water that can disguise as muscle build-up.
Has No Harmful Effect on the Liver
A study conducted proved that testolone does not have side effects on the human liver. When the liver is damaged, or on the stage of being harmed, the volume of transaminase is elevated. This has not been seen when testolone was administered in rats and mice.
The side effects of testolone and other SARMs on the liver is limited because of its affinity to musculoskeletal tissues only, and when they come in injectable forms, liver damage is prevented.
Not an Addictive Drug
When taken in moderation or by following the prescribed dosages, testolone has no euphoric or suppressive effects. It is only suppressive when there is continuous overdosage of this kind of selective androgen receptor modulator. Generally, testolone does not have any impact on the mental condition of someone using it when used as prescribed.
Without the anabolic characteristics of steroids, SARMs may be generally safe. But do we really need them for health reasons, or is it vanity that leads you to it?
